A directory built to help people discover and support women-centered businesses in Berlin.
Berlin is full of talented people, small businesses, independent professionals, makers, organisations and ideas. The problem is that knowing they exist and actually being able to find them are two very different things.
The idea for Berlin for Her grew partly from my own experience of building a community for Balkan women in Berlin. Again and again, I noticed the same kinds of questions appearing in our conversations: Does anyone know a mechanic who speaks our language? Is there a hairdresser in the group? Does someone make the traditional cookies we have for celebrations? Can anyone recommend a photographer, an accountant, a therapist?
And very often, someone did.
The person we were looking for was already here. She had the skills, the business, the service or exactly the thing someone needed. We simply didn't know how to find her until somebody else made the connection.
That stayed with me.
Because this isn't only about one community. Berlin is a city of people from everywhere, speaking different languages, building businesses, creating things and bringing pieces of their own cultures with them. Sometimes we're looking for someone who speaks our language because we've only just arrived. Sometimes we're searching for something very specific from home. Sometimes we simply want to support a local business or another woman doing something wonderful in our city.
And sometimes we don't even know what is around us until we discover it. That's what Berlin for Her is about. It's a place to make those discoveries a little easier.
Here you'll find local businesses, freelancers, professionals, creatives, makers, organisations and service providers from across Berlin. You can discover them through what they do, where they are and the languages they speak, whether you're looking for something specific or simply finding something you didn't know existed.
Some businesses are women-owned, some are created with women in mind, and others are simply businesses and services worth knowing about. Berlin for Her isn't about putting everyone into one particular box. It's about creating more ways for us to find, discover and support each other.
More than another place to be online
Being online and being discoverable are not necessarily the same thing. Businesses already have websites, Instagram accounts, Google profiles, recommendations and their own communities, and Berlin for Her isn't here to replace any of them. It's simply another door through which someone can find you.
By bringing local businesses together and making them searchable by category, location and language, I hope Berlin for Her can create connections that might otherwise never happen.
Someone might arrive looking for a photographer and discover a makeup artist. Someone searching for prenatal yoga might find a doula. Someone might come because a friend shared one business and leave having discovered three others.
That's where a directory can become something more than a collection of listings. It can become a community built around discovery.
How it works
Berlin for Her is an independent directory, not a marketplace or booking platform. Businesses and providers create their listings, and you can contact them directly through the information they provide.
You can search based on what you're looking for, where in Berlin you want to find it and which language you'd prefer. Or you can simply look around and see what you discover.
Because sometimes the best find is something you weren't searching for in the first place.

Is using the directory free?
Yes. Searching and browsing the directory is completely free.
Do I book through the website?
No. You contact providers directly using the contact details shown on their listing.
Does the Platform recommend or verify businesses?
No. Providers are responsible for the information they publish. While listings may undergo basic editorial checks, publication does not constitute verification, certification, or endorsement.
How do I report a listing?
Every listing includes a way to report inaccurate, misleading, or potentially harmful content. Reports are reviewed in accordance with the Platform's Content Reporting & Moderation Policy.
For Providers
How do I get listed?
Complete the online application form, submit the required information, and accept the Platform's legal terms. Your application will then be reviewed.
Why is there a fee?
The fee covers the one-time processing service of reviewing, formatting, optimising, uploading, and publishing your listing. Keeping your listing online for up to 12 months is included at no additional cost.
Charging a small fee also helps prevent spam and fake submissions, allowing me to build a trusted directory of genuine businesses, services, and organisations. It means I can spend my time improving the platform instead of filtering out unwanted or misleading listings.
Can I update my listing later?
Yes. If you'd like to make changes after publication, you can contact me. A small processing fee may apply for substantial updates.
Can I remove my listing?
Yes. You can request the removal of your listing at any time.
How long does my listing stay online?
Listings remain available for up to 12 months. Before the listing expires, you'll have the opportunity to renew, refresh, upgrade, or remove it.
Can I advertise more than one business?
Yes, provided each business or service has its own separate listing and meets the Platform's requirements.
I can't find a suitable category. What should I do?
Choose "Other" and describe your business. New categories and subcategories are added as the directory grows.
Can I offer services in multiple languages?
Absolutely. You can select all the languages in which you comfortably provide your services.
